🐩 Poodle Rescues in Florida
Checked October 1, 2026. Florida has several active foster-based adoption routes with materially different eligibility rules. Start with the program whose published service area and household requirements fit you; an application is not a promise that a particular dog is available or will be placed with you.
Current adoption routes
Florida Poodle Rescue
Applicants must be at least 21. The rescue checks references and requires a home visit, then matches dogs by fit rather than application order.
Coastal Poodle Rescue
Its official adoption profile asks for veterinarian and groomer contacts, three references, and landlord information when applicable. Applications remain active for six months.
VIP Rescue
Its application prerequisites require current pets to be spayed or neutered and current on vaccines, plus veterinary and personal references.
VIP Rescue of Central Florida
This separate program publishes a four-step route: choose a listed dog, apply, receive approval, then schedule a meet-and-greet.
Poodle and Pooch Rescue of Florida
Applicants must be Florida residents and at least 21. The rescue is foster-based and uses its application to choose the best match rather than promising a dog to the first applicant.
Prepare before applying
- Check the exact dog profile before applying; fence, child, resident-pet, and travel rules differ by dog and program.
- Tell veterinary and personal references to expect contact before submitting.
- Ask for the dog-specific fee, medical records, known behavior, and any pending care. Do not rely on a statewide fee or timing estimate.
